If I understand correctly, there used to be a ton of the blue male red zebras. Are they still around? I don't think I've ever seen one in person.

Blue male M. estherae are becoming more common, but as with any cichlid, availability can vary from location to location.

The auction was for 8 fish at about 1.5 inches with free priority shipping. I believe my winning bid was $40 or $45. The seller sent me 4 males and 4 females. He said they were F1. This was late last summer, early fall. They are all between 3 and 4 inches now and look great. I think I still have his email address. I can shoot him an email and see if he has anymore if you like.
