I had two blue ahli's that were nice and blue about 3 inches long. They both turned gray and started fighting so i got rid of one of them. It still has not blued up. Do people dye these things blue. I picked up to more last week they are great looking and about 3-3.5 inches. The LFS was suppose to send me females. The one is secretive and hangs out in the shadows and the other one swims free thoughout the tank.????????????

I have a 90 gallon with lots of rock (see profile). I am not sure if they are male or female anymore I requested two females on my last order and they are blue. They sounded like they were able to pick out the females from the tank when i spoke with them.

It may be that they have been hormoned.
It may also be that the fish may have coloured whilst in the shipping container in defense. I have had fish colour amazingly while be transported. Not sure if a female ahli can do this however.
Your best bet would be hand picking them and taking them home then and there
