I have a 17 gallon quarantine tank which I keep cycled by keeping 4 small bristlenose plecos resident. They are the fry of other BNPs breeding out of control in another tank.

I recently added some tetras and 2 red lizard plecos to the tank for observation, and one of my existing plecos bloated and died. Now another is bloated and near death.

The tank is cycled and running for many years with no nitrite or ammonia, and nitrate levels are low due to an abundance of plants and large weekly water changes.

I can only surmise that the new fish brought something nasty with them.

Any suggestions on treatment?
