I've always run the Coralife aqualight freshwater t5 strips. I find that the 6700k and colormax combo produces to most realistic colors.. they phosphurs really bring out the colors without making things pink. However, these are cheap units, and they keep going out on me.

I'm looking for something a little nicer that brings out the colors but doesn't make the tank look purple, or too 'white' or 'yellow'.

Any suggestions?

I have this light fixture, the 48" marine http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/p ... 9871&rel=1, that comes with Coralife 50/50 bulbs. I *really* like this light and think it is the perfect color combination. They also make the 50/50 bulbs http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/p ... catid=3794 that could be used in any standard florescent fixture.
