Hey all

We had our 2nd power outage in 2 weeks. I have WC Cyps, Foai, Goby, Malogenys. I got lucky last week that our neighbours had a 12 v plug in battery pack that I borrowed, and ran an AC110, Eheim 2028 and Eheim 2217 for a couple hours. Is there anything that you guys have tried (assume a blank canvas) .

In my fishroom I have a 110g, 80g and 20g on one stand, and a 75g on another.

In my office (same floor) I have a 125g.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Cheers :dancing:

hey, i was looking at them on amazon, for another $100.00 you can get one with an auto switch in case you're out of town, or sleeping, w/e... just a though.

8) The XpowerSource 1800 switches on automatically & switches off & recharges then to stanby when power is restored. I was away for one of my power failures & a couple of the mini-interuptions (reductions). If a smaller unit will suit your needs try

Not to hijack this thread but I would like to replace my current UPS (only got 25 minutes in my last power outage) with something that will give me more time, tank is 125, I have 2 XP3 filters, 1 Eheim 2227 Wet/Dry Filter, 2 sponge filters and 2 300w heaters... how do I figure out my total power consumption and what model I need...

8) Not sure the exact math involved w/ that but I can tell you so far the longest I've been without power is a little over 9hrs. & the unit I have still had power left. No lights, no powerheads, only heaters, (not on in summer), filters & airpumps. This might give you something to guage for comparison http://www.altapower.com/v/vspfiles/dow ... aSheet.pdf Hope this helps. "T"
