I might be over thinking this, but should I be concerned about using things like nets and glass cleaners in multiple tanks? Any chances of cross contamination between tanks. I have two tanks, one for large fancy goldfish and one for oscars.

I know some folks have many more tanks and I can't imagine having dedicated equipment for each tank. But it's possible.

TIA

The best practice would be to have dedicated nets and cleaners for each tank. Whether it's worth the trouble is your call.

I had six tanks running at one point, didn't bother having dedicated equipment and never had a problem.

If you keep up with water changes and don't add anything to the tanks (to limit the possibility of introducing pathogens) you can probably get away with it.

I use the same equipment on all tanks. My fish are rarely sick...if I had columnaris or something I would sterilize them.
