my Metriaclima estherae (Blue), ( i think ) has recently gotten all banged up. i moved my fish into a new 55 gal. and had the coral ornament to close to the entrance of his castle and when he darts about to defend his territory i'm pretty sure he banged hisself that way. well i added salt and raised the temp. slightly, also did a water change. seemed to help any advice for when they scratch & bang themselves up. 1st time in 2 yrs. haven't had to deal with this yet.

Try to use smooth rockwork and ornaments. In the event of an injury watch for secondary infection . Salt and temp increase is good. Also , you can increase aeration.
