I just wanted to get some reassurance before I go ahead with this...At the moment my cichlid tank has a KH of 4 degree, am i right in assuming a teaspoon of baking powder per 5 gallons is safe to use to increase the kh?. The baking powder conatins 'Wheat Flour and raising agents E450, E500' is this ok to use?

Aha! Sorry, I just assumed baking powder because nobody mentioned bicarbonate of soda (thought maybe it was just an english thing) :D thanks for clearing that up for me.
