I just finished getting my 55 gal set up and I am looking for background/plant ideas. I prefer live plants to plastic. Also is there sufficient space/locations for them to spawn?

What kind of fish do you plan to keep? Vals work great as background plants and require next to nothing. How much light do you have? Looks to be stock. This is going to be very, very limiting, but will not make it impossible.
You could try a few vals, to see how they fair.

thinking about green terrors and i suppose i could always upgrade my lights those are the ones that came with the tank
