Okay Im feeding my fish today and I sit down to watch them for a while and out from one of the rocks comes this itty bitty baby fishy. I was shocked to say the least. I can only see 5 of them. So now some questions. Do I need to try to get them out? Will they survive in there? Will the other fish eat them if I do leave them in there? Do you think that there were tons more and they have been eaten? I dont even know which one of my cichlids had the little guys. I'm going to try to get a video of them soon so that you guys that have knowledge can help me. Thanks folks.

this has happened to me also i found when i tried to get them out they were being eaten in the process so i think your best just leaving them i have found that some will survive in the as they can hide under rocks etc i crunch up some flakes that sink to the bottom so they can still get food but best bet is to try keep an eye out for holding fish to prevent this happening

The only way I have ever removed babies is by syphoning them out, sounds harsh but it works

If your fish is holding then what dou you do take them out and put them in another tank? Do you take both male and female? I got a fish thats holding and want to insure the others dont eat the babies.
