I thought I had seen this on this site, but I have spent the last 3 hours searching here and else where.. But this weekend I saw a setup that automatically dosed prime into fresh water as it went into the tank.. The jug of diluted prime was hooked to this pump/metering device and mixed it on the fly..

Can anyone point me to what this apparatus is or at least called, I for the life of me can not find it again..

Thanks!!

What you saw could have been just about anything, there are so many different kinds of dosing equipment for aquariums. Just a few.....

Monitors, controllers, meters, dosing pumps, all kinds of stuff. It's come a long way from when you set a water bottle up on a shelf and dripped water in from it, or at best ran a tube from it to the Fill Line in the sump and water would be fed in whenever the level got so low that air could bubble up into the water bubble and displace the right amount of water.

I came across the following thread on another forum talking about using something called the Dosmatic MiniDos 1%, which is an injector that mixes the incoming water with a specific ratio of whatever liquid you want. But the lowest ratio allowed is 1:500, so the author determined the Prime needed to be diluted to 1:80 with RO water first.
