Hi guys and girls

This being my first time raising Mbuna the first thing i noticed was the aggression that these little guys display. I currently have 2 different batchs of Elongatus fry in the 1 tank.
The bigger are pushing the little ones around a bit, not to the point were i'm worried that any will die but they already seem very territorial.
Also to add, about an hour after i stripped the second batch i noticed that 2 of the younger fry were fully going at, lip locking a few times and chasing each other around.

As my only experience with fry is with Haps i have never noticed this behavior before and want to know it's normal or not

Sounds quite-normal-to me...fry, even when quite small-will exhibit aggressive behaviour.!! Just part of coming attractions.!!

I have the same experience. My mbuna fry are agressive almost from birth. It`s kinda fasinating to watch them establish their place in the flock.
