I think my Apisto pair laid eggs in a very small cave. The female had been there for 4 days until this evening when she is now hanging out in a hole in the driftwood. Would she have moved her babies? How much longer before she brings them out if she really has any? :-?

quite possible she moved them. I've seen a lot of cichlids in general move them at the wriggler stage. If she is staying put in one place, its pretty likely she is guarding some eggs/wrigglers you can't see.

Good - thanks for the info! Given it's been 4 days, how long before she will bring them out? Also, there are a few female betta sharing the tank, should I remove those before the babies make their debut?
