Am setting up a very large Malawi tnk (750 gal).

Am looking for some suggestions on cleaner critters…algae eaters, scavengers and so on.

Have 2 large canister filters and a large wet dry. Wet dry is fed by built in over flow. Tank is drilled through the bottom for the 2 canisters. Not the best water flow I’m going to end up adding several power heads to take care of the dead spots.

Thanks

I like botia, they will scour the bottom all day long for morsels of food (and snails if you have a snail problem). I have clown loaches in with my tropheus and burmese botia in with my yellow labs. They require a high protein diet but mine do well on NLS and spirulina flakes. A group of 5 or more is best (should not be a problen in a 750g), mine are in trios. They are very fun to watch too.

I would look at a group of 6-8 synodontis catish, they are from the lake, and do well in tanks with cichlids.

Do you have any pictures of your tank?

I'll have some to post soon...it's not the set up I would have gone with but it's still impressive.

Thanks for the suggestions!!! :thumb:
