I have this really nice male con with nice color that I want to breed to my big female. But I had to pull him because she beat him up pretty bad the last couple days.He's a inch smaller than her.I wana keep him around because he looks like he's gonna have a nice knot on his head.So my question is should I let him grow a bit more an try again? Or scrap that plan and try to find another female for him?

Pull her.

Put him back in the tank, and give him a couple of weeks to get used to the tank, and established... then add her back... That might turn the tables a bit.

If that doesn't work, try another female.

Or you could try a divider until they both get used to being in closed space together.

Think i'll try the divider. I like to have her :-? alone.Because she tears tankmates fins up when she's about to lay eggs. ..
