Squege56 my best advice is to walk in to a privately owned LFS. If the tanks look clean and the stock look well looked after, approach a staff member and ask them for some advice. They can fill you on the basics of looking after and breeding fish in general, and possibly Angels specifically.

Secondly, try and find your local aquarium society/club or local cichlid club. Go along to a meeting and talk to some of the members there. Odds on, atleast one or two members will breed Angels. Ask lots of questions and listen to the answers. You will also be able to buy fish for way less than what you buy from a LFS from these people.

Nothing beats talking to people face to face. Well being invited around to checkout there breeding setups does.

http://www.angelfish.net/VBulletin/inde ... a1887e0de6 is a forum for those interested in keeping angels http://www.finarama.com/home.htm is another that deals more with wild types. Both will help you gain knowledge more quickly and accurately than from most LFS, which can sometimes be a source of bad or limited advice. A local fish club is also a good place to acquire knowledge and stock as mentioned above. If you don't have one nearby, perhaps a road trip to a club auction would be in order. Most clubs will have an annual show and sale and they tend to feature large auctions, often with a thousand or more items.
