i have two penguinn biowheel 350's (as of this weekend thanks to the coupon u linked me too!) and i was wondering if i could/should get rid of my air stones, i know there not hurting anything but i would like to take them out and put them on my other tank.
any advise?

You don't need air stones if you have some other method of water circulation like the filters you mentioned.

I had bubble disc, wands and stones in my tanks and have done without them for the past couple of weeks. They look nice but I needed to cut back on power usage (not much but every little counts) and my filters the way I have them setup provide lots surface disturbance. :thumb:

Unless you're running higher than normal water temps (lower disolved oxygen in the water) and you've got enough surface agitation from the filters, air stones aren't needed.
