I've got a 55 gallon tank that finished cycling last week.
A week ago, I added 3 small yellow labs and a smallish pleco.
Before all is said and done, I would like to add 3 Acei and 3 Red Zebras as well.

Since it has been a week since adding the first batch of fish, do you think I'm ok to go out and get 3 small Acei today or should I wait another week?

Thanks!!!

Your test results will tell you the answer to your question. What do your tests for pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate read?

Note that Malawi are harem breeders and you may have less aggression if you get 5-6 of each species rather than 3. More females spreads the aggression better.

Acei are a large fish for a 55G but this works for some people.

Yellow labs and red zebras will crossbreed so don't save fry from them.

Hope this helps!
