You put two adult mbuna with 4 small peacocks???? lol those peacocks won't stand a chance if the mbuna decides to kill them.

I had 2 old cichlids (may mbunas) from old tank, and have just added 4 small new peacocks...
Don't want these 2 adults to kill them..
How will i know if i need to pull these old ones out or not? Should i wait a few days to see if they get along?

agree with flapjack, but i'd replace "if" with "when."
what kind of mbuna? how large? how large are peacocks? what type of peacocks? tank size (and dimensions)? rockwork? etc etc
