I am not good with remembering names of the Africans, but I was looking at a really nice pair(?) today at the LFS. The name on the tank began with a "V". Both were in the 6"- 7" range, the male was blue with barely discernible large spots on its side, but the most interesting part was the yellow stripe from nose to dorsal. The female was faintly colored similar to the male but had large very visible spots on her sides. I am assuming male and female from color and the distinct differences in anal fin.

I don't see anything here listed beginning with a "V", any ideas? Tony

No, the spotting was maybe 3-4 that covered maybe 3/4 of their sides and the yellow stripe was brilliant solid yellow. Maybe they were a hybrid of some sort. I only ask because would like to find smaller ones to raise in my community 55 till I get a 70 up and going. I have a pair of Red Peacocks in the 55 that sure keep things interesting.

Thanks Sinister You did nail it. They sound like much more fish than I am looking for.
