A Good Second Tropheus for Kiriza?

1366 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  geoff_tropheus
I have thirty Sp. Black Kiriza (Kaiser 2) tropheus in a 180 gallon tank. They are 1.5 - 2 inches.
I have a chance to get some one inch Red Chimbas.
Would this be a good combination in terms of visual appeal and compatibility?
If you owned the Kirizas, would hold out for a better match?

Do not get Chimba's they are a sp.red and very prone to making hybrid fish.

I would go with Duboisi or Kasabae (rainbow type) about 20 fish in the second group.

Please understand that adding a second group will dampen your success at breeding them. You will have some, just not as many.

If I owned Kirizas, I would get Duboisi Maswa or Kigoma.

What are you going to do with the Cyps?
