Thanks for the comments!! Yep, it is a little understocked (8 adult yellow labs, 3 juvi yellow labs, 5 acei, 3 yoyo loaches, 2 clown plecos), waiting to be sure that the bio-spira worked, but that will be taken care of shortly: I have 12 afra cobue juvis and 3 Mbamba Bay peacocks on their way.

As for the lighting, I have a 2x96W AHSupply 6700K lighting kit installed. Lights are on about 12 hours a day. Works out to 1.576 Watts/gallon, but it seems like more since those AHSupply reflectors are so efficient.

Looking good! I like your background. DIY right? Looks like a good job. Re light reflectors, anyone thought of using mylar, I use it behind my bulbs as it's about the most reflective material (of the full spectrum of light) known to man. Seems to really get the most out of the bulb and helps penetrate right down to the bottom of the tank. Plants seem to grow with a bit more vigour too. I presently only have the mylar behind my light, but intend on covering the entire bottom lid of my tank, so that all the light bouncing back up is reflected back down into the tank...

Just a thought, as I say, nice looking tank!

Blair.

Thanks for the comments...

Yes, the background is a diy, all the intakes and heater are hidden behind it.

I found the rock at a local garden nursery, it was labeled Colonial Gray. It was a color that matched the background fairly well and was about the dimensions I was looking for.

The plants are real, anubias nana, a species from West Africa.

The tank is a 6 foot 125 gallon All-Glass.

Got to take another pic soon, the Afra Cobues and Peacocks are now in there.....
