Hi, I am new to African Cichlids & would appreciate any suggestions or tips.

Tank setup - 75 gallon tank(46x16x26 inches) with 3D background (DIY Styrofoam) with rocks on bottom to serve as hiding spots.
Sand/Gravel Substrate (After adding the background, rocks & substrate the net water volume will be approximately 55 gallons)

Filtration - 2 overhead filters +1-2 sponge filters

Fish - I would love to keep Yellow lab (12-16) with Grants peacock (2-4) & Aulonocara OB peacock (2-4). Will this work?

My aim is to keep aggression as low as possible. How would you stock? Please suggest
I want to keep yellow labs (14) with maybe 2-3 peacocks (all males, no look alikes)
OR
should I go for yellow lab (12) with 1 breeding group of Aulonocara OB peacocks (1M:4F)

Welcome to Cichlid-forum!

Your 75G dimensions are different than the standard in the US. Taking into consideration a DIY foam background, the floor space is 48"x12".

I would stock it like a 55G with 48x12. If mixed gender do 15 fish. Peacock 1m.4f and Labs 1m:9f.
