I currently have a 60 gallon tank (footprint of a standard 55g) and need some stocking help. I have struggled over the past two years to find a balance in an all Male peacock tank, but ending up with a few females, and having trouble rehoming them and other problem fish, I called it quits and have slowly been rehoming the other peacocks.

Currently, I have a lone, stunning, blue orchid peacock male. Since he is the only one in the tank now, he is incredibly active and showy...and I'm rethinking getting rid of him, and instead, building a new stocking around him. SO, how would you suggest stocking up a single-peacock tank? I was thinking a nice big school of serpae tetras and perhaps a pleco, but what other options do you think I might be able to do?

Thanks!

Well, I did some double checking on my species ID, and turns out he's actually a Protomelas spilonotus...he just has a more pale yellow forehead and his body is more black than blue that you see in most of the pictures, which is what led me to think blue orchid. So he will be getting rehomed. :) Thanks!
