I have a 40 gallon breeder that I blend to have ~10 saulosi in and one bnp could I put a single peacock in as a centerpiece something with some red to stand out or is the tank already full and the fish are not compatible?

IMO red peacocks are not red...maybe orange. Too close to the saulosi female yellow/orange to make the impact you seek.

I would say 12 saulosi is fully stocked and I would not mix a peacock with saulosi in any case. Maybe an OB?

If you do only 10 you are talking about 1 blue male and 9 yellow females. Wouldn't 3m:9f be more colorful?

I would not save fry from this tank.

Agree with DJ. I've shared on other discussions I have a 55gallon Saulosi only tank and love it. Lots of color. I would get some Juvies. Plan on about a fifty fifty split male and female. Three males and nine females will be a great tank. Just my two cents.
