I have some new fish coming this week, and I'm looking for some of your opinions on my options for housing them. My intention was to use a 40 breeder, but I also have a 55 available to me as well. I like the 18" depth of the 40 breeder, but my gut says to use the 55 for the extra length. FWIW, the fish are 3m/9f Metriaclima Elongatus Chailosi, and will be the only inhabitants. Thoughts?

I'd go with the 55G and add females.

Thanks DJ. The more I think about it, the more I think I'll put them in the 55. I even DIY'd a stand for the 55 this afternoon, and made it deep enough to hold a 75 if needed  . Unfortunately, I don't have the option of more females right now. These are a WC group I special ordered and the importer felt that 1m/3f would be OK. At the worst, I can remove one of the males if need be and put him in one of several other tanks with mbuna.
