what would you say to 1 male 3 female cyno afra and 1 male and 3 female yellow labs in a 30 gallon?

I'd do one or the other but not both.

If it was a 36" I'd say yes. You could try it. Likely you will need to buy 8 juveniles and remove extra males anyway with a plan to end with 1m:3-4f.

Really? 30G tanks (or really 29G tanks) are more commonly 30" long. Good. :thumb:

Yeah my 30g is 36" too. I had 1m 5f saulosi (all full grown) and it worked great..no problems. I recently put all the females in an all female tank and the male saulosi is by himself right now.

they breed, but personally I hate the setup, labs imo r too big, I might try saulosi or those one labidochromis... can't thank of the name, but they r smaller growing... ill get back with the name once I get to a pc(i'm on phone)

I had females holding all the time in my setup (1m 5f saulosi). I didnt keep any of the fry but atleast 2 females were always holding at any given time.
