all cycled will be going to get fish within the next day or two, my friend has an yellow electric cichlid hes trying to get rid of, its a juvenile, pet smart says smallest tank 29 gallons, but everywhere on the internet says 55 gallon minimum, would i be able to pair him up or something along those lines in my 29 gallon, or should i just stick to my idea of getting cons or kribs, pass on the free fish or take em people?

Alot of people say 36"(length)tanks can and do work, but my opinion 30"is too small for any mbuna,I realise yellow labs are probably the least aggressive of all mbuna,I would say because of so many generations of tank raised, anyway my point is they move quick and would be able to travel that length in no time, leaving females vulnerable,I maybe conservative in my approach, but I would do shell dwellers or kribs
