Approximately how much (in pounds) does an empty 240g acrylic tank weigh?

I would guess around 250 lbs without anything inside...250-300 to be broader lol. Really depends on dimensions and thickness of acrylic. I'm giving you my guess on a 8X2X2 with 1/2 acrylic.

youd think acrylic would be a lot lighter than 300lbs but I dunno.

that sounds about right. 300 pounds is really not that heavy when you only have 2 guys moving this thing. If it were glass, it would be game over because it would weigh like a 1000 pounds.
