I am in the process of trying to acquire a 240g acrylic tank. I have been looking at mostly used ones to get a cheaper price. I finally found one that is almost new except for a small scrath in a corner. The guy is selling for $900 with stand and overhead lights. The only bad thing is that it doesn't come with in filteration and is not drilled for it.

My question is, is this a good deal? How hard is it to drill acrylic? Thanks

If it's truly like new, it's not a bad deal. Acrylic is expensive, as I'm sure you've seen.

Scratches are easy to remove, so that's no big deal.

Acrylic is very easy to drill with a hole saw. Just go slow and use plenty of water to keep it cool or it'll melt the acrylic. Drill halfway and then flip it over to finish so it doesn't break through and chip out the edges.
