Hey hey guys, so I have a 150g tank with a 40g sump. I was looking to to have 15-18 all male hap/peacocks, 2 synodontis catfish, and a senegal bichir. Just making sure they'll all work before I get them

18 male Malawi that mature <= six inches would work. I would rehome the bichir. What kind of Synodontis? Some are solitary and some like to be in larger groups.

Why wouldn't the bichir work, just curious. I haven't got anything yet, just double checking before I get it all. Not sure about the synodontus, any recommendations?

Five Synodontis lucipinnis also sold as dwarf petricola, or multipunctatus.

Bichir is a 20" fish. Seriously Fish says this. They are not recommending Africans. In general, African males are not known as peaceful fish and probably won't want the bichir in their territories.

Not to be trusted with tankmates it can fit in its mouth but is relatively peaceful otherwise. Suitable tankmates include other Polypterus species, Synodontis, Datnoides, Knife Fish, larger Ctenopoma species, medium to large characins and African Butterfly Fish.
