I am going to get a 125g used this weekend.

My question is, Is it possible to block / plug the already drilled overflows?

I want to set-up the tank right away and transfer everything from my 75g. Eventually I will want to set-up the overflows once I do some shuffling of my tanks.

75g Malawis to 125g

55g Oscar to 75g

29g Demasoni(juvies) to 55g

29g becomes wet/dry

thanks for the help.

thanks for the replies...going to get the tank tonight...

$200 for a 125g tank and stand :thumb:

my Mbuna are going to feel like they arrived in fish heaven, going from a 75 to a 125
:fish:

same with my 12" oscar going from a 55bow front to a 75g
:fish:

which leaves my beautiful 55g acrylic bowfront for my Demasoni

... 125 ... 75g ... 55g ...
Sounds like you've got a case of MTS (Multiple Tank Syndrome)... I can help you out with that... just let me know where you live and I'll come take 2 of them off your hands ;)

Why would you want to plug a drilled tank?
When you dont have the equipment for a sump.

Anyway...just put a bulkhead in there. Then if you ever get a sump just unplug it.
