Hi all,

Okay, a guy is offering to sell me 10 demasoni at a very good price...I already have two...in seperate tanks of course, one is full grown or nearly so, and male I think. The other is a little smaller, maybe 2.5 inches? The ones I am going to get are 1-1.5 inches. Will this be okay? Of course with these guys there are no definite answers, but generally speaking can you mix sizes?

BTW, they are going in a 3 foot tank, heavy on the rocks of course.

Cheers,
Eric

I never had any problem mixing sizes with my demasoni.

I would introduce them all to the tank at once, though, so that everyone is establishing territories at the same time.

Yes, they should all be fine together. What size tank are they going in? Do you have rock work?

Once they start to breed you don't even have to take out the holding females. The fry will be safely released in the tank & will be fine. It's cool have a colony with all different sizes.

right kim, thanks, thats what I'll do.

Can I add 3-4 yellow labs or is that getting greedy? I've got a big cannister and a powerhead in the tank.

I don't see a problem with it, as long as you have adequate filtration on the tank to handle the load!
