I decided to buy fish base on the review of others. I’ve been in the hobby for over 25yrs. and have bought fish (Peacocks and Haps) from other vendors on this site. I have to say as far as getting show quality fish, Cichlid express is the clear winner. Whether getting fish with some size to it or smaller one this place stands alone. I stopped in Daytona Aquarium/Cichlid Express while vacationing in Florida. I have been in the hobby for 30+ years and have been to Tropical fish stores from coast to coast. When I walked into Daytona Aquarium's facility, I was simply amazed. Billy greeted me immediately and treated me as if we were long time friends. I was looking for a Lemon Jake and a Ruby Red peacock hoping they would have at least one of them. They had both, as well as every other cichlid I could think up. Billy gave me a tour of the facility and showed me the best looking cichlids that I have ever seen. He made several recommendations that would mix nicely with my current stock. Billy is extremely knowledgeable and committed to his job and the hobby. We made up a list, and Billy made certain to have all of the fish waiting for me to pick up on my last day of vacation. I ended up taking home a Red Top Lawanda, Ruby Red peacock, Benga Sunshine, bi-color 500, Protomelas ornatus, yellow blaze lithobates, and a Cherry Red Zebra. All of the fish were top quality specimens and very reasonably priced. Billy knew that I was only traveling six hours, but he packed the fish as if they were being shipped across the country. Needless to say, all of the fish made it home alive and are settling into my aquarium nicely. I usually don't write reviews but I have used cichlid express 4 times now and I though I should post a review. I have 5 tanks and I have gotten fish for three of my tanks from these guys. Very knowledgeable people and Billy was really easy and pleasurable to work with. I feel like we are friends now. Anyways back to the fish. I have a 125 peacock/ peaceful hap tank with 3 inch and 4 inch peacocks. I ordered a lot of different peacocks in the 3 inch size and I have to say I especially love my sunshine benga and red top lwanda. I also have a mbuna tank and received some outstanding mbuna from them. If you are looking for OB fuellebornis make sure you get some. Really good quality. A few others I got that were really nice were aurora, jewel spot, mpanga elongates, williamsi. I will deff use them again and I recommend you to use them! Thanks Cichlid Express

This is my third time purchasing fish online though I am using Cichlid Express for the first time and I must say that CE stands out in in both stock and service qualities! I contacted Billy via email after reading the reviews posted here on this forum and I am definitely happy that I had chosen CE. For 2 weeks Billy and I communicated via email discussing suitable species of hap/peacocks for setting up an all-male tank. Billy made great recommendations and answered all my questions and concerns. He also took care in explaining to me shipping options at best prices. The fish arrived in perfect condition, all of which are vibrant and healthy. They also seemed larger in size than described and most of them have nice colors already! Very few retailers have the availability and quality of stock that CE does. I can honestly say this becasue I spent literally months comparing retailers the OCD/Excel spreadhsheet way. Billy worked with me nearly a month to make sure my order of 25 mbuna was right down the line. When the fish arrived I was impressed with the care that was taken during shipping. All fish arrived healthy and aclimated well. I would highly suggest giving them a call if you're in the market.
