"Amazingly Beautiful Fish Delivered to My Door"
I have ordered a total of 48 fish from Atlantis. All fish have arrived alive and healthy to my midwest home in the middle of the winter (it was negative 2 degrees during the last shipment). The fish are incredibly beautiful. The selection of fish is very impressive. Peter was also very helpful with post delivery questions about foods, and he checked to ensure the delivery arrived safely. Many of the fish were larger than advertised, which was also a pleasant surprise. You will be VERY happy with Atlantis.

"EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! "
I am absolutely blown away by this facility! Their selection is unbelievable! I've visited Atlantis a few times and am amazed by their selection. Their tanks are well maintained and you can see first hand the quality of their breeding stock. I could not be more pleased with my purchases and will definitely be back! I have purchased fish from other stores and hobbyists in the past and have not been completely satisfied. I plan on looking no further! You have to try Atlantis. You wont be disappointed!

"Excellent Stock and Service"
I have visited Atlantis Tropical Fish several times as I live only 1/2 hour away. My experience with the business has been wonderful. They have a fantastic selection, the fish are in excellent health, and most importantly the staff and owner are knowledgable, courteous, and inviting. If you live within an hour or two of this facility, you have to take a trip there (they are open to the public only on Saturdays) at least once. You won't be disappointed. I have purchased a # of Tropheus (sp. Black Kiriza) from Atlantis and could not be more satisifed.

"Great Fish and excellent service"
I have bought fish from Atlantis four times. Their fish are excellent and always exceed my expectations when they arrive. I chose atlantis because of its diverse selection of wild mbuna and there worry free service. The fish are always packaged very well for their flight from New Jersey to Appleton wisconsin. A great experience and I will continue to do business with Peter in the future. If you want great fish with great service and Shipping look no further.

"Fantastic selection, and great service"
I have been to Atlantis twice now, in Gardiner, NY. They are friendly, helpful, and have excellent quality cichlids that they obviously take great care of.

With almost 1,000 tanks to choose from, the selection is almost overwhelming, and the packing was superb as I didn't lose even one fish on the 3.5 hour drive home.

I highly recommend Atlantis. You won't be disappointed.

"Excellent Service"
I purchased a group of Crenicichla sp. "cobra" from Peter @ half the price that I've seen them @ other retailers. He was accomodating, in that he held the fish for a month while I was out-of-town. He was always prompt when returning e-mail and calls. He also followed-up, to make sure that the fish had arrived alive and well.
The fish were also packed well. I would certainly purchase from ATFH again.

I have been aware of Atlantis Tropical Fish from the website and impressed with their stock list and prices. I also heard of Peter Rubin, he being the first importer of line bred red Peacocks from Germany, or so the story goes. It wasn't until I emailed to inquire about making a purchase that the two came together.

I had literally lived down the road from Atlantis for many years and had turned around in the Atlantis driveway on it's dead end country lane in Gardiner, NY a few times. At the time I thought it was a seafood distribution business.

I noticed a thread in a forum about Atlantis, and I was pointed to Aquabid as he had posted some fish there for the first time. I ended up buying five A. comp. black Nangu fry through Aquabid.
I arranged a visit to pick up my fish and check out his hatchery. Peter's operation uses air power to run UG and sponge filtration, eliminating any cross contamination of the water as in a centralized filter system. He had a great variety of fish with many wild caught for sale. With the support of a 2.2 million gallon fish farm in Lakeland, Florida, the stock is diverse with beautiful pond raised specimans.

I went to pick up my Nangu comps, but left with much more. I was able to properly match some Tang species I have, to try to pair them up; i.g. Julidochromis regani Kigoma.

Peter opens his hatchery doors in Gardener, NY (80 or so miles North of NYC, near New Paltz) for sales by appointment on Saturdays and Monday
