"They are the big liars "
Nothing can be sold in real. The fish shows on internet are never available. If it shows available and you place an order through line, they will tell you to buy the substitute one. Otherwise, the money will always be kept there, refund process is very very slow.
Very unhappy with the product I received. Payed overnight delivery on Thursday and did not arrive till Tuesday. Ordered 3 males cichlid of different species and received 3 Females! Emailed the company twice and asking politely WTF and still no answer. Be wary of this company!
"terrible company, recieved a refund with no explination a week later."
i ordered my white betta on sunday january 7th and was told by email that i would be informed by them on any changes or problems. paid for overnight shipping, but it still didnt arrive by thursday january 11th. i decided to wait a few more days to complain but when i logged onto my email to send them a message i noticed that paypal had notified me of a full refund of the order. the fact that they still have not answered my many emails inquiring on why my order was canceled and why they didnt let me know or explain why, really shows how unprofessional they are. i would not reccoment this company to anyone who wants good communication from the seller.
I ordered online 6 Texas cichlids, which were specifically called "Cichlasoma (Herichthys) cyanoguttatus" on the website. I had already been dubiously sold H. cyanoguttatus at a LFS only to confirm a few days later that they were in fact H. carpintis, the Pearscale cichlid that everyone mislabels as a Texas cichlid. Well, I hoped that maybe Aquariumfish.net actually knew what they were doing and I'd get the right species this time. Uhh, no. The fish were once again H. carpintis. When I called to report this to the company, they said, "oh yeah, it's carpintis" as if it were no big deal that they were selling a different species under a different name. They knew it wasn't but called it H. cyanoguttatus anyway!
Be careful if you order fish from these guys if you care what species you're getting....
This is the first time I've ever ordered fish on-line. I ordered 2 Moorii Blue Dolphins on a late Saturday. They shipped them out the next business day (Monday) overnight. I received both fish happy and healthy the next day.
n 1/29/09 I purchased 4 ADF's and 14 neon tetras and paid for overnight delivery. My order was shipped out on 2/3/09. When I recieved my order on 2/4/09 I opened up the box to find 4 dead neon tetras. They were shipped without any heating packs. Not only were my fish dead but my order was not complete. I was missing 10 tetras & 1 frog. I contacted them right away. I was told over the phone that they would immediatly refund me for the missing and dead fish. I told them that I wanted a replacement but they insisted on the refund. I asked to be refunded for shipping as well since the only reason why I ordered from them was to buy the tetras and take advantage of their bulk shipping price. They agreed. Today (2/5) I recieved a refund for the tetras and was told that I would not be recieved a refund for the shipping costs. This is absolutly horrible! There is no way that I would have paid $25 shipping for just 3 frogs! When I told them that I would have to file a dispute wtih paypal they called me juevenille. I highly suggest that everyone avoid this company at all costs!
Here is a copy of their emails: We have read your emails and we will issue a refund for the missing and DOA fish. The shipping charge was never negotiable.
Your refund will go through today. We are sorry for the mix up, and hoped to resolve this in a civil manner but threats are just juvenile.
Have a great day
Hello, You will just have to live with your actions, a
My order was late, so i emailed customer service and they informed me that 2 of the 4 fish i ordered were out of stock. They could have at least emailed me about the problem instead of leaving me hanging. I then emailed requesting a substitute fish and asked when my order will be shipped out. I never got a response back. So i figured id give them a call, no answer, i left a message, still no return phone call back. I got fed up and emailed them stating i want a full refund because obviously theres no customer service to help me out, and the fact that she said they didnt have any cooling packs was a red flag not to go through with this order. So they were plannng on shipping fish in 96 degree heat with no cooling pack? Not good. Finally i got an email back saying they will refund me ASAP...well im still waiting for the refund, i have no fish and no refund. This place is horrible. Maybe if they actually answered their phones i can talk to someone to get things straightened out. They really need a phone rep..not an answering machine.
Overall this is a decent merchant however there are some things they need to work out. Like if you have employees who don't know how to look up an order, don't have them answer the phone or have them get someone who does. I've ordered from them several times and received very nice fish and exactly what I asked for in the special notes. I must say though my oscars didn't look very healthy when I received them because they were in such a small bag, they were running out of oxygen. I have suggested to them they use bigger bags for the Oscars especially the pink veil tails, they don' travel well. All of the other cichlids I've received from them travel well and I had no problems.
I just ordered a couple gold severums and a couple blue jack dempseys from them and all four of them arrived to me dead. Like a previous person stated, they were just thrown in a box with no padding to stabilize the bags and there was no heat pack, so they all froze to death. It's 34 degrees outside, and they didn't put a heat pack in.
I used Aquariumfish.net in the past and had no problems. However, my most recent order was a mess, with only one fish surviving out of 12! The packing was horrible. The fish bags were just thrown in a box and shipped out. With nothing to stablize the bags (paper wadding, peanuts, etc.) the fish bags just rolled and bounced around in the box. They did send a bonus fish (died, so didn't mean much.) I requested a refund of my money because I would had to pay another shipping fee to get replacement fish.
"Good place for tropicals, needs more cichlids though"
I used AquariumFish.net to order my Labidochromis caeruleus. Although I only ordered 9, they sent me a 10th absolutely free (itemized on the invoice as such so I know it wasn't an accident). So needless to say that was a pleasant surprise. All 10 arrived in very good shape and very healthy looking.
Shipping with these guys is very reasonable and they currently charge a flat $24.75 for overnight no matter how large or small your order is.
I wish these guys stocked more cichlids because they have a very good business going for them. Communication was excellent throughout the order process.
