"Duetto 100: Fantastic filter for small tanks!"
I agree wholeheartedly with the reviewer before me: the quality is something you can just feel when you hold it. The casing feels SO sturdy; haven't held plastic like that in a while! As far as design is concerned, it is simple, but I think thats why these have the reputation of being durable and easy to look after. Also, its easy to customize. I opened up the box of carbon and put in a little sock of Purigen. And features like: rotating head, air intake, and the fact that it can work virtually in any position is also a big selling feature. And its quite reasonably priced when compared with other "High Quality" internal filters. If i was forced to gripe about something, it would be the same point others have mentioned: when taken apart for cleaning, it'll dump a lot of detritus back into the aquarium after restart.

I look forward to see how this performs over the long term. So far though, I am very happy with this purchase, and based on what I've seen so far, I would recommend this to anyone wanting to setup a small tank for the long term.

"Good backup or small tank filter"
I have used this model for goldfish before with no problems. These are very quiet and easy to use, just plug it in. They come with the necessary media and you can adjust the flow rate and direction. I am now using one as a third filter on a 70 gallon tank, mostly for the water movement and a little bio filtration.

"The GPH rating is wrong"
It says the 100 does 76 gph. The correct gph is 92.

"Not bad at all!"
Though the local retail price is a bit high in my area, I was able to find them online for much less...

...and I have to say I'm pleased. Not only do they work well for aquatic terraria, but they also do well in small aquariums & temporary tanks.

They are very versatile, and great for decoration as they can help create waterfalls, trickling water, air streams, and also just surface agitation.

Easy to setup, use, and clean!
