"great food great ingredients "
I did a good deal of research on what food to start feeding my dwarf mbunas. This is what i decided on. It is great for my 1.5" & 2" guys. They love it. While protein and ash %s could be lower it has good ingredients meaning good protein. Fiber % could also be high but my fish are happy and healthy.

"great for mbunas"
This product is awesome. My mbunas simply love it. They always eat every bit and often fight over it as it tumbls to the sandy bottom. The protien content is a little high so i'm going to be using another food along with it but besides that it is excellent. The only drawback is I found the flakes to be a bit large but that's an easy fix.

"product is ok..."
this product is ok, nothing too special, many people overexaggerate this.
1. food clumps up too much, some pieces fish dont like
2. sticks to the bare glass wall.

maybe my fish have been used to other products.

"Great Stuff"
My cichlids won't eat anything else. They do break into smaller pieces but that doesn't seem to be a big issue being as though I feed them once a day maybe twice. Does not cloud the water or dissolve.

"Good stuff!"
All of my fish hit this stuff pretty hard. Even the meat-eaters in my non-Mbuna tanks like it. Protein content is higher than true veggie flakes, but I have not seen any negative effects from that....

"Flakes disintegrate into dust"
I found I wasted almost half a can as the flakes disintegrated into such small particles I had to throw it out.

"Major disappointment"
I wrote them an e-mail. Never got a response. So, here it is:


Hello,

I am very dissatisfied with your product. After reading your persuasive web site, I was sold. I bought a 12oz jar of Veggie Flakes. It is true, the flakes do not dissolve and cloud the water. Very nice.

My fish don't seem to like these flakes as much as others, but I don't hold that against you. Who knows?

What I HATE, tho, is that I have only used about 1/4 of the can, and the flakes are already so disintegrated that they are like particles, not flakes. I noticed this happening early, so I was extra gentle with the can, but still now the can is almost all just crumbs. It is really terrible. About the only thing these crumbs are good for is feeding small fry.

I feel cheated.

"Best cichlid food I've used!"
After trying many different brands, Omega one is the one my fish like the most, and it keeps them in flying colors! Always gone in seconds, never clouds up the water, Id recommend them to anyone with african cichlids. This is very similar to the kelp flakes, and I have the same good things to say about them. A good balance of protein and veggie matter.

"Good sh*t"
Mbuna hit this stuff hard, alota splashing. I or the fish cant tell the diff between this and the Omega Kelp flake. Only gripe is youre left with 50% dust at the bottom of the can.

This is my mbuna's favorite flake food. I don't have any problems with cloudy water and the food is gone seconds after I put it in the water! I wish I bought the bigger cannister!

".......there is alot better stuff out there"
I feed tried to feed this food exclusively....it is good but breaks apart to easily and disolves into powder, good for fry but not for big fish
