Product Description:
Seachem MetroPlexMetroPlex is an effective and safe treatment for several protozoan and anaerobic bacterial diseases of fish (Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, Ichthyophthirius). It does not adversely affect the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. It can either be dosed into the water or combined with Focus in a medicated food mix. It will treat both internal and external infections regardless of the delivery method. When used in a medicated food mix, it is excellent for treating parasites in tanks that contain invertebrates. MetroPlex is gentle and there little danger of overdosing.

"Pricey But Adequate"
A very expensive product that is available via mail order online for a fraction of the price.
If this is your only means of obtaining metronidazole, then it will do the job perfectly well.

"If you keep Tropheus, you should have this on hand"
I have cured 3 cases of Hexamita with this.

On three seperate occasions I bought C. Afra, P. Salousi, T. Morri with Hexamita (long stringy excriment, stopped eating) This worked each time. No side effects, hard to overdose doesnt effect the good bacteria in the filter (only is affective against anaerobic).

Buy it if you keep Tropheus.

"Must-Have"
This is great for mixing with food, dosing in the water, for tough cases of bloat and onset of bloat. I now make sure to keep well stocked with a couple vials at all times! VERY easy to use, excellent choice for the fishy medicine cabinet.

"I am not convinced."
I have tried this stuff at recommendations of others, but I must say I saw no change. I use Clout instead and like it much better. Clout is more harsh for sure but it does not leave me guessing!

"good for HITH"
I treated my oscar with this and within a week he was significantly better. It seems comparable to HITH Guard, though and that stuff is cheaper for the amount it doses.

"You should always have some of this on hand............"
Dollar for dollar, one of the most effective meds you can use for intestinal parasites and bloat. Some people on this forum have also claimed it works on ich.

Won't harm biological filter, hard to OD your fish on and my catfish and plants aren't bothered by it in the least.

"Best med to have on hand"
i am judging this med relative to other available preparations of metronidazole and not metronidazole vs other meds. as is, metro is a great med to use alone or in combination with other meds to treat a huge spectrum of fish diseases and is very safe. my favorite uses are for "internal parasites" and ich. in each case it works great and avoids having to use the other more stressful meds. it also doesn't stain your silicone or rockwork green or blue :)

for $4-$5 you get enough medicine to treat a lot more fish/tanks then comparable pill preparations and it is super easy to dispense using the little spoon in the lid. i also trust seachem a little more than some of the other manufacturer's. i have used this stuff a ton and can't recommend any other product i have used more than this stuff.

"A must for Tropheus lovers"
I use this medication in conjunction with clout to treat internal bacterial infections. It works 99% of the time if you catch it quick enough.
