its fast, accurate, easy to do, and simple. except th Gh and Kh test. that you add one deop at a time then cap shack and repeat untill you get a certian color, keeping track of how many drops you put in so you can calculate.
I just ordered new Aquarium Pharma PH, KH and Nitrate kits to replace my two-year-old bottles. They're getting low and old and need replacement, but they've been strong performers that I can depend upon. At pennies per test, what else do you want?
I gave an 8 score for ease of use because these are reagent tests-you have to compare colors to a chart (except KH). In this regard they are similar to all other reagent tests.
"Excellent Kit! Won't use anything else from now on!"
After reading other reviews here, I bought the Freshwater Master Test Kit to replace another brand that I didn't like at all. The reviews were right on... this kit is EXCELLENT! It's really easy to use, only cost me $11.99 US, and results are available in just five minutes. From now on this is the only brand I'll be using. I highly recommend them for all your testing needs.
Aquarium Pharmaceutical tests are inexpensive, easy to use, easy to read and an excellent value. Each test comes with many uses, a nice glass test vial and an easy to read color card (no more trying to guess WHICH shade of red you're looking at). I wouldn't pay money for any other pH test unless investing in an electronic pH meter. I highly recommend ALL of their mini labs.

"Can't go wrong."
I use the Master Freshwater Kit and it comes with everthing you need except for a nitrate tester. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. Color matching cards are water resistant and easy to match to the test tubes.(4 test tubes included in kit.)The solutions are bottled in fairly thick walled plastic containers and dispense drops easily and accuratly. I would recommend this kit to any hobbiest that cares for and keeps frehwater fish.
I used to use the Tetra kits but switched to AP because they were better value for money and were reviewed elsewhere as being more accurate. I do not regret the switch. The tests are easy to perform but, like all liquid reagent types, there's a lot of light and interpretation issues around getting the correct reading. Needs practice and consistency.
I love mine! My only complaint is that the testing cards are easy to lose. I wish they would put the charts on the bottle so if you lose anything you don't have to by a whole new kit just to use any of it.
"Accurate, inexpensive & easy to use: what more do you want?"
I tried a few different test kits before I found the Aquarium Pharm. kits. Wow! Easier to use than all other tests that I tried and a lot less expensive than most. Tests are easy to read and most are quick to display results. I reccommend these test kits.
