"Oil Slick"
While it is great for smaller fry, this food WILL leave a protein slick in your tank. Great for Ominvores, but for my other guys... I'll stick with something that actually has spirulina listed on the label

"not impressed"
I went to the store and bought this the same day i got my fish...it says nowhere on it that it is not for veggie eaters and it was way too much for my poor acei...i had to fast them a day and thank goodness the swelling in their little bellies went away (and I did not overfeed):) It might be good for fish who aren't herivores, but man-o-man no good for the herbies. My yellow labs seemed to like it lots. The fish seemed to love the taste, but I won't be buyig again...switched to omega one kelp pellets and all's well!

"Good value cichlid food"
I feed this in alternation with NLS small fish food for my dwarf cichlids. I like this better than competing brands floating pellets because my rams will not go to the surface. These granules sink at a slow enough rate to interest them and they are as enthusiastic for this as they are for the NLS. Far better value however.

"It's a loser..."
Sure the fish will eat it. Quite readily actually, but if you have gravel or a lot of rock forget it. It sinks into and under large gravel and rocks.

But the worst thing is what it does to the water. It clouds the water pretty badly, and can cause a protine slick at the surface.

I have an almost full jar and I am going to toss it out. This stuff is trash.

"good product, makes water messy"
not a bad product as for as these types of african foods go. my major complaint is that when the fish break up the foods in their mouths and spit some of it out, it water tends to get cloudy. aside from that, it is a solid and reliable product.

"Not bad."
For the price I would assume this is the best product. My old juvie fronts liked it. But my recent Malawis don't seem to devour them as fast a some of my flake foods. But in all it's not bad.

"Pretty good..."
i feed my 3 1/2 inch convict these and he loves them. He eats everylast one of them. Also i just go two jack dempseys and they eat them a lot also. they chase them around when the filter blows them around. but now the previous review got me worried becuase they said it could give them bloat.:|

"Risky Food"
The food itself is great, its fresh, colorful, good quality etc. However, If you don't soak it there is a chance your juvi/fry Mbunas may get bloated. The first time I fed it without soaking it, the fish's stomachs extended the whole height of their body! Its good food (since my mbunas love it) just be careful and soak them a little.

"My White Cloud like it, so I do too."
I have no problems with this food other than the fact that tilting only slightly even when half full will lose you several dozens pellets.

"Great food, poor packaging..."
My cichlids are still young, and they took to this food pretty quickly. The granules are just the right size for them. They like to chase after them when they're blown around by the filter output. The only down side is the packaging. If you tilt the package, you'll have a mess when you open it. The lid isn't tight enough.

"Great for juvies and adults"
My Africans don't go out of their way to eat medium or large pellets or tablets - and I hate making them wait for the food to break up before they can eat - I mean, they're ALWAYS hungry. So htese granules are perfect - they attack these things and can eat them right away - they love 'em.

"Great for juveniles"
I feed this food to my juvenile cichlids, i have 11 of them and they all love it. I can also buy this product at walmart so it's dirt cheap. The granules sink to the bottom were the cichlids like to dwell.. I've tried wardley's floating cichlid pellets (premium) and they hate those, in fear of wasting more money i'll stick with the granules til they get big enough so chew the wardleys.
