"I have the MA-600 and it is silent"
I previously had the Rena 300 running on my 60 gallon tank. For an air pump it wasn't that loud but the Million Air MA-600 is a lot quieter. I'm very pleased with its function and how quiet it runs.

"The BEST air pump!"
I have four of the MA-600's now and this is the BEST air pump on the market with a great price. I have used almost all of the other types of pumps out there and by far this is the best one. Very quite and powerful.

"3 years and still running"
I have been using this air pump from tank to tank for about 3 years. It was very cheap but gives powerful aeration. This is the best air pump I have ever used.

"Finally, I Now Have My Sanity Back!"
This review forum is the greatest! Money was not an issue (just my sanity) and after extensive researching the famous websites (and advertisements) out there, I bought three Renas and two Whispers from the smallest to largest sizes - all where further than "quiet" (or even close to being truthful in their advertisements). Saw this website and bought the MA-200 (flow adjustible) and MA-80 (fixed flow) and now the entire fish room is now totally quiet, it's unreal, like magic. I'm so disappointed that my favorite website drsfostersmith.com doesn't carry these cheap but greatest Million Air pumps and had to buy them marinedepot.com instead, my future favorite store. Just to put things into perspective, if you were to put it on the scale of 0 to 10 where 0 is silent and 10 being loudest, these MA pumps would be a 1 while others would be ... (sorry, don't want to get sued).

1/14/08: OK, just wanted to correct myself a little bit. Switched out the 8" airstones and replaced with 48" bubble wands and everything became almost dead silent including the previous noisy Whispers and Renas. Suspect this is due to lowered back-pressure and may be the reason for different experiences from different users, including airstones/wands potentially clogging down the road (considering how much dust as seen in our vacuums). Like the Whispers for their power though. Just my updated 2 cents.

"Just try to find a beter aip pump!!!!!"
i've had this pump ever since i started up my 55 galon tank about 4 years ago, it's been running non-stop ever since, never once have i had a problem, always pumps out tons of air, and you can control the air flow into your tank just by turning a knob attached to a valve. it works so well. one things for sure you'll need to buy a very large air stone for the amount of air this thing pumps out.

"great pump"
i already have "The Pump" (its great) but my 195 needed more air (made the tank myself) when i plug it in i though i got riped off. 1 hour later there was so much air that there were tons of bubbles on the glass there was so much air i was afraid my fish would get High. the only problem is that it has 2 out puts and if you only need to hook up one stone then you need to buy extra tubing and a t conector. but the flow control nob was easy to use in short i love it!
