Wardley® Premium Tubifex Worms™ has a special advantage: the cube can stick to the aquarium glass. This is an excellent method to feed fish at different levels in the tank. Bottom-feeding catfish can enjoy their food near the bottom of the tank. Top-feeding livebearers can feed near the top while midwater feeders such as tetras can enjoy this food near the middle of the tank.
This does not stick to the glass as the manufacturer claims, and the fish have to be pretty hungry to eat it. Half the time it floats at the top of the tank and is ignored.
I bought one container of this and had a difficult time getting the food to "stick" to the glass, as recommended on the container. I also found that none of my fish would eat it, even after breaking it into smaller pieces and trying it again and again.
I use this as a supplement to vary my fish's diet. But my Mbuna prefer floating sticks and sinking pellets to the tubifex. I break each cube into quarters so that the fish can swallow them whole, otherwise the food can get quite messy.
