"The Good Stuff!"
My ammonia spiked right after adding fish to my tank. I was freaking out so I found a LFS that carried the old refrigerated version of Bio Spira. 24 hours later the ammonia had been reduced by 75% (1.0 ppm down to 0.25 ppm) with no discernable rise in nitrites. Nitrates did rise a bit tho. By the time I get home to test tonight the ammonia should be zero. But yeah, Bio Spira (the cold kind) is very very good stuff, thank god I have a LFS with some of the old stock!

"I used the refridgerated stuff"
I thought this was reviews for the non-refer bio-spira/not the fridged stuff.well, anyway,
My experience was not as great as some peoples, but it did eventually get the job done(I think)pretty much took care of the ammonia but the nitrites went thru the roof.
I had to do some emergency aquarium salt adding to detox the nitrite before my fish died..they were super stressed, and so was I.
I added 1 large pouch to a 75 gal. tank and 4 colbalts
after 2 days added 10 more fish(all fairly small)ammonia started to spike so I got 2 more pouches(the cold stuff). the ammonia came down then a huge nitrite spike. my colbalts eyes were popping out of the heads(looked painful)made a quick call to lfs and was told to add salt/that took care of the nitrite(well, at least long enough for the fish to recover)and to get the bio filtration up to speed.
overall the nitrite spike lasted around almost 2 weeks

"Worked for me"
I've used this on three different tanks and essentially got an instant cycle. I do use more than recomended per gallon and use it initially and then follow-up in 2/3 days. It has never failed to work for me.

"Not for Nitrite"
I've used this product several times. It works well for ammonia; it does nothing (far as I can tell) for nitrite. Best to use in combination with borrowed filter material from an established tank.

"Increase my Ammonia & Nitrite"
It actually increase my ammonia and nitrite 48 hours after I applied this. I checked the water a few days before using this product, and ammonia was 0.5-1, and nitrite was 0. 48 hrs after i applied this product, ammonia gone up to 1.5, and nitrite gone up to almost 2. Not sure if this is normal, but it doesn't seem like it.

"Impatience subdued! Great stuff"
I used this product for my 130g tank. Added enough for 150g which is about the volume of water including the sump. Added ammonia ( 5ppm )as per the fishless cycle instructions - the tank completely cycled in 11 days! I did a water change at the end of the cycle and added 50 fish, and Bam! Instant show tank! The best stuff I've used in the hobby ever!!

"Best stuff out there so far"
had to switch old filters to new ones and lost all biological and went with the bio -spira , it is expensive at 25.00 for 3 oz. but it brought my ammonia down to 0 in 24hrs. and nitrites it took 4 days but by the end of the week every thing was running smoothly.

"GREAT stuff, wow!"
I have to say, I have used Cycle , Stability and now Bio-spira on different community tanks to get them rolling through the cycle.

Bio-spira is definetly the quickst and easiest - 1 dose only - took me about 48 hours and the tank was at almost zero ammonia. If you can find in an LFS, go for it, they keep it refrigerated (only way to buy as retailer is to get w/ refrigeration).

its a bit pricey, but if you want something that works the quickest - go for it.

"HTF and very costly...but it WORKS!"
I've researched a lot about this product prior to purchase. A lot of great claims. Money wasn't really a factor but it was still expensive. For my 55 gal., I got the 90gal. pouch for $21.00 locally. Finding it was the hardest as almost everyone didn't carry it. It worked within a couple days as tank did have to go through a mini-cycle but results came out great...fish are all doing well w/o a mishap from cycling. Test results rated 0 for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate shortly after using this great stuff. Will get again for future tanks.

"does the job"
Put a 90g pack in a 75g along with 34 fish and the tank cycled in under a week with minimal ammonia and nitrite spikes. The only negative was availability, 4 hour drive to the closest store that stocked it. Mail order added a bit to the price and it arrived warm, but still worth it.

"Stuff works great - "almost" as advertised"
I cycled my 90G Mbuna tank with Bio-Spira in 14 days. I had 13 medium to full sized Mbuna which is probably why it took longer than the 5-7 days they advertise. They agreed with this when I called them. However, as they said, Ammonia and Nitrites never got over 2PPM and I lost ZERO fish. I would definately use this product again and would recomend it to anyone.

"It works!!"
A month ago, I decided to set up a tank using a couple hardy fish. Then my dad and I learned of the fishless method, so we used pure ammonia to cycle HIS tank. Those two tanks are still cycling. We didn't use Bio-Spira because on another unnamed forum we were told it was no good.

For my NEW 55 gallon, I decided to take a chance and try Bio-Spira and put 4 baby cichlids in right away. TWO DAYS later, that tank is fully cycled! I'm so amazed and pleased with this product!! It's a bit pricey, which caused me not to give it all 10's, but in my opinion it's worth it!

"Wow!"
I was Moving 8 mature mbuna from a 29g to a 55g. Used bio-spira. had one very small ammonia reading and then went neg for ammonia & nitrite in a week. After a few weeks I started to get the normal nitrate spike that you would in a 6 wk cycled tank. Great stuff
