Looking to grow your cichlids large and FAST? This is your food. I have two malawi dolphins (which are slow growers) that I feed this food to regularly and they have doubled in size in less than 3 months. I still, until this day, can't beleive how fast the dolphins and the rest of my fish are growing. I have used NLS for a few years and haven't had near the results with growth that I do with this food. The colors are also very vivid and bright. Just because this contains protein only from spirulina/greens does not mean it's not suitable for carnivores that reguire high protein from meat.......there is still plenty of protein coming from the greens/spirulina. So, it is good for all fish, you can't go wrong. Feeding this, NLS, The European Shrimp Mix (that can be found on this site through searching and/or in foods section) and maybe some spirulina/algae sheets and your fish get everything they need for a healthy immune system and long life.
I feed this food along with Hikari's Gold as a staple, everyday food. All (including my Ruby Barbs) devour this with gusto.

"Top Quality Color Enhancing Food!"
This food is much more than a "Spirulina" based food, it's secret ingredient is Alfalfa Meal.
Alfalfa meal may not be an ingredient that most hobbyists recognize as a Cichlid color enhancer, but it has a very high content of Xanthophylls (lutein). Individual xanthophylls differ in their ability to impart color, and this food offers another key ingredient in my color enhancing program.
The large pellets seem to be awkward for even the fish to take in & hold, but the mini pellets are accepted by all fish from 2"-5".
Another great food to add to any Cichlid diet!

"excellent "all around" food!"
Have used this for over 3 years as one of the main diet. Extra spirulina is great for blue color and healthy immune system. Won't fall apart easily even after soaking for half an hour. Accepted by most specie but may not provide all the nuitritions for piscivores/meat eaters.
I have found all my Cichlids like this food. I have tried both the medium and mini pellet. Even after pre-soaking for a few minutes I find that they tend to spit the medium pellets back out to break them up. They quickly gobble up the bits but some always fall to the bottom. The mini pellet on the other hand is small enough for 1 1/2" fish for sure and my 6" Red Zebra doesn't seem to mind sucking up a pile of the smaller pellets. I also would recommend this product without hesitation. I do mix this with other foods to provide a more varried diet however.

handy packaging, a decent product all-round, fish do like it, and do well by it...
I have used a number of differant types of food, and this one is by fare the best. I started using it around two months ago. This product has increased the color in my fish and the seem much healthier. The product is also nice since it floats MUCH better than flake, I have never seen any hitting the bottem. The fish seem to love it, they devoure it. So all in all I would recomend this product to every one.
