"Very Quiet, Dependable, Does Add Heat"
I've been running a T3 on my 120gal reef ready tank (set up for cichlids) and it has done really well powering a dual 3/4" return with a very good flow through the sump, and it is very quiet--quiet enough for the living room, which is more than I can say for fan-cooled units I've either heard or tried (Little Giant, Iwaki). It's hard to estimate how much heat it adds, but estimates you'll see of 2-4 degrees are probably right. With my 2 t-5 flo lights in a homemade canopy that doesn't vent well, this means my tank temp in the summer can get up in the 84-85 range, which is less than ideal, but has worked for the past year. If I needed another external pump, I would consider buying another one. I had a snail outbreak which led to small shells getting stuck in the pump's centrifuge, but I had no trouble taking it apart and cleaning, and despite their number there were no adverse effects--no impeller to worry about with these. If I replumb this tank I may try an Eheim 1262 and use it as a submersible to reduce heat, and hope the flow rate will be good enough. Since noise matters a lot to me, I'm not sure there is an external pump I would choose over this one.

"Runs hot but quiet"
I have two of these. One had trouble restarting after a shutdown, so I finally retired it. Very quiet pump, but between my lights and this hot pump, my water went to 88 degrees. I had to open the top to cool it down.

"Very Nice Pump - but - Runs Hot."
I'm very pleased with my Model T-3 pump. Installed to 'power-up' a 4-jet UGJ system for a 110 gallon aquarium, it has worked in completely reliable, absolutely QUIET fashion.
Very Powerful. This pump produces an Honest 800 GPH!
Problems? Only one....
DOES transfer what seems to be a significant amount of heat to the water of my tank.

"Great pump"
This is a great pump. It lives up to its reputation as being silent and offers little, if any, vibration. I had to give it a lower Effectiveness rating because it does transer some heat even though CS claims otherwise.

"Awesome pump worth the money"
As inline pumps go, this one is very quiet. There is no, if any, vibrations when running. The built-in thermal shutoff is nice for when the water level gets too low. Most of the heat generated is transfered through the motor side and not on the impellor side of the pump.

If it came with a sponge attachment, it would be perfect. But still a great pump without one.
