My Cichlids literally go crazy when they see my grabbing the food bag, they know what is coming. They love it and I am definitely noticing a difference in color. I will be switching to Dainichi as my primary cichlid food.
This pellet will do the job in terms of bringing out the natural colors of your fish. I fed my fish with these pellets and with in a matter of a week their colors were shining. This is a must have pellet if you want to improve the color of your fish in a short amount of time.
The downside is the cost and rarity of this pellet. This pellet is hard to find in almost any fish store. I got a 5.5 lb bag on ebay for like 93 bucks. Although it is expensive, this pellet backs up its name "Color Supreme"
In my opinion, this pellet is much better than the popular ones like New Life Spectrum and Hikari.
As a longtime user of NLS I wanted to try another product. I ordered a 1.1lb bag and after about a month and using the entire bag all I can say is WOW! This stuff brings out the colors like nothing I have seen. Tank of mixed Malawi haps and aulonocara.
Though it's not like the Color FX, this is also a premium color enhancing food for your cichlids. In comparison to the Ultima pellets, there are much more darker green indicating a higher concentration of spirulina. Some people under rate this food, even though they haven't given it a try. It wouldn't be a fair call to judge a book by its cover. This is really good stuff, and quality wise.....it is made fresh, if not fresher than NLS.
