Aqueon has introduced another new product innovation in it's line of quality aquariums. The new MINI-BOW 7™ glass aquarium offers contemporary appeal to room decor using this small compact aquatic display. Use on desks, counters, credenzas or anywhere a compact fish display is desired. This GLASS AQUARIUM features stunning "BLACK SEALS" and a curved front glass for a dramatic fish display. The all glass construction is easy to clean and won't scratch like plastic. A Full Fluorescent Hood covers the entire aquarium top and illuminates fish and decor. Fluorescent lamp is also included for proper aquarium lighting. On the top of hood is a fish feeding door and space is provided for a power filter. A stylish, removable contour base presents a finished dramatic look and properly supports the MINI-BOW 7. The base is spacious enough underneath for a small air pump.
I've had one of these as my office aquarium for almost two years now. The quality of the tank and stand have been fantastic. The few complaints I have are generally common to all bowfront aquariums-- the front glass is trickier to clean as it's rounded and a sponge is needed instead of a scraper.
The integrated hood light is adequate, and although you have to supply your own filter, there are no other glaring inadequacies with this setup. I've seen fairly high prices on this aquarium, but the quality of construction and the clarity of glass makes it worthwhile over the 5 gallon acrylic counterpart. The fact that it's black is an additional selling point-- it looks more like a real aquarium than a neon-colored toy.
The aquarium is just large enough to be useful for more than a single betta. I keep mine heated and house a single male betta, three rummynose tetras and a poor 'spare' female endler's livebearer that needed a home. I wouldn't hesitate to keep just about any small fish in this aquarium.
I have had this tank for almost a Year. I have found the construction of the tank is excellent, the reviewer above must have received a damaged tank. The Minibow 7 is a popular tank for setting up Nano Reefs and has a wide following. I currently have two baby Red Slider Turtles, a Frontosa, three small cichlids and a Pleco. This is way too much of a load for the tank and I currently use three filters to handle the load along with frequent water changes. I have a 50 gallon tank which I am currently cycling which will soon house the fish. The Fish are doing very well in the small tank and I have nothing but praise for the Minibow 7

"Get an Eclipse"
My teacher used to have 5 White Clouds in this. First the light broke, then the tank sprung a leak. I, of course, had to help fix it. Not recommended.
