"It has worked for me and the external control is nice."
My Via Aqua Stainless Steel Heater has always worked well for me, but it rarely needs to heat the tank significantly, meaning that I don't know how it would do if the tank were in a colder place. The external control is very nice, because it makes it much easier to adjust.

"Works Great!"
I have 2 of these (300 watts each) in a 145gallon tank. It has only been set up for about 2-3 weeks, but the temperature is steady at 79 degrees. I will post again if anything changes, but so far they are great!

"Keeps the temperature right on"
I have one 300 watt on my 150 gallon. I seems to keep the temperature right on. The external control was a blessing when my fish got ich. I was great to be able to adjust the temp with out putting my hand in the watter.

Plus, this thing is durable. I put it in my sump and forgot about it. I drained the sump and left it out of the water. It melted through a piece of pvc, but was no worse for wear. I just cleaned it off and kept on using it.
