I see that Tenecor got good reviews before 2004 but then everyone started having problems. I ordered a large tank on July 23rd 2010. I am still waiting for it and no one answers their phone directly..Just a message machine. I have left several messages, they don't return the calls. Personally, I think these people are crooks!! Don't trust them! I am getting ready to bring a LAWSUIT.

This was my first big tank after seeing one in a LFS. Setup was easy, design works great. I only wish I could say the same about the acrylic. Within 8 months it began to show hairline fractures on the front of the tank. Tenecor didn't seem to intersted in my problems. Well, after 6 years, is has so much crazing it makes for poor visiblity. It even has crazing on the sides. I'm seriously bummed.
i ordered a 450 gallon from tenecor.bad mistake.seams was full of bubbles.cotacted customer service and plant manager said he did an extensive water test and it held water so he sent it regardless of how bad it looked..they offered to send me a free cleaning kit to make up for the poor quality tank..will never recomend them to anyone. stear clear of these people, their tanks and customer service are poor.
Purchased 110 flat back hex with canopy and stand May 2004. Website displayed 2 doors on stand when in fact there is only 1. Beside not being as attractive, it is a nightmare to get at filter and pump. Recently the whole front viewing area of the tank developed small horizontal crack like lines. It is awful, like looking through a screen door. When I first contacted Tenecor about the wrong stand, and false advertising, I demanded the 2 door stand be sent. I was told they do not make a two door stand for the 110 flat back hex. To sweeten me up they would send me the complete Tenecor recommended acrlyic cleaning products valued at $100. So I Had to suck it up. Now when I contacted Tenecor about the little horizontal lines, I was first told it is called craizing, and was probably caused from using wrong cleaning product. Not! Only product used was sent from Tenecor. Then Mark Stewart said thickness of aquarium was to thin and would send me a thicker 1/2" replacement for $940 including shipping. That may be a good price, but he also said he couldn't guarantee it from also craizing. What about all the money I already laid out. If the thickness is to thin why do they sell it? There are no choices for thickness mentioned on either site. I purchased the set up from thepetstop.com That website still displays the 2 door stand. Tenecor dispays the 2 door but now makes note of one. Their Attorney General should be aware of their unethical, and illegal pr
I was looking for acrylic tanks to replace my glass 75 gal tanks. In my investigation they have great reputation but at a price. I found they came very close to the best price I could find for the cheaper tanks and this made it a easy choice. I love the two 125 gallon long tanks I have.
Service great delivery was on time. Stand and canopy (oak stained red mahogony)was very nice. I am adding a few trim peices to fancy it up. Check it out on Tenecors web site in a few days when its finished.
I waited 3 weeks for my delivery and got free shipping on my purchase which made the price excellant. The tank is beautiful but openings in cabinet are very small. The room to get all wiring and return flex tubes is tiny, the cabinet front forced me to cut a trap door in the bottom of the stand to get the Maxi Reef 300 in. I will have to cut some holes myself to do a hard plumb of the overflow into the wet/dry trickle ports. But overall, I would buy one again.
Positives: beautiful, well made, delivered on time, any and all questions/concerns were quickly answered by Dustin Sims their sales rep. Negitives: I had to modify the canopy with a jigsaw because my two emperor 400s didn't fit properly over the lip of the tank and sat higher than they would on a glass aquarium. Slight gap between stand and tank at base perimeter formed after filling.
The tenecor tank is well made. Being an acryllic tank, it's got the rounded corners which are much nicer than the corners on glass tanks. The tank I have was purchased second hand and seems to have stood up well to the test of time. The filter is a trickle, overflow type contained within the tank itself. I find this to be good for keeping everything easily contained with no extra filters under the tank, but I think I'd rather have that extra space for the fish. For anyone considering this tank, I'd suggest buying it without the filter built in.
I was a little nervous about purchasing a tank on-line but I'm sooo glad I did. Service was tops and the quality of the tank is excellent. I really can't say anything bad about the whole deal. Looks great in the living room!
